Breakthrough!

As I was writing this post, I had the breakthrough I’ve been waiting for in automating subscribers. The system successfully checked the list for a new subscriber, entered the email and name on a Google spreadsheet, and then deleted the subscriber from the list. Absolutely perfect!

ARGH!

Hours later, and I’m putting it through a full run, where it’s to receive the data from Bookfunnel via SendFox and send it to Google Sheets before unsubscribing the contact from SendFox. All that’s in place… but the system is strange an temperamental. You dare not change anything once its working, and apparently I didn’t Clone the sequence first. I just edited the existing sequence! If I broke it, I have no working system to fall back on!

Emotional Mind

In less distressing news, I’ve made a new cover for Kathy Napoli’s book, and she’s changed the title from Inner Sanctum of Belief to Emotional Mind.

The Promotional Link Issue

You will receive updates from Bookfunnel in your email, and this will include the links you need to share. This might not have always been the case, but I’ve checked and all your emails are entered. You may also be alerted to a problem. Feel free to reach out to me, and I’ll correct it if possible. We lost our participation in one promotion because we weren’t promoting on our end while I was away. Andy Futuro received a notification, and I was able to get his book reinstated.

I’ve talked to the promoter. We’re good, but it’s a lesson. Running these promotions for a group is different than participating on your own. I know this is new to some of you, and to that extent, it’s new to me, too. We learn as we grow.

One complication you may face is the sheer number of promotions you’re in. Admittedly, that can be a problem if you have more promotions than you can be reasonably expected to share. I’ll be giving that issue some thought.

Ultimately, this is something to work in your routine, not something to stress over.

If your reputation is too low, you’ll still be able to participate in the promotions I run, and we can use those to get your numbers backs up.
